Welcome to Class 2!
Here in Class Two we have a great time in our learning.
We love learning both indoors and out with our teacher Miss Sykes.
We are very lucky to have Miss Fairless, Mrs Crowther and Miss Leeman helping us out as well.
Important things to remember
Our P.E. days are Wednesday - don't forget to wear your P.E. kit and take out any earrings before school.
On Tuesdays, different groups of children are very lucky and get to do some outdoor learning with Mrs. Wood. This is a great opportunity for some hands on exploring and learning, but sometimes it can be a bit muddy! It might be a good idea to keep some wellies/waterproofs in school just in case.
Reading diaries will be checked every Friday - it is really important to read as much as possible at home as well as at school. Comics, books, newspapers and even online articles are all great things to read and record in diaries.
Here is a little of what we are getting up to in Class 2...
During our first week in school, we each unwrapped a new recommended for this year. These books are extra special and we will take good care of them.

Victorians

We studied artist William Morris, who influenced interior decoration throughout the Victorian period. We replicated his intricate designs using different medias.
For our final piece we had a harvest theme.
Our Van Gough inspired pumpkin fields

Geography
Class 2 love going out for walks in our local area. We have recently been on a walk looking for human and physical features in our environment. We took clipboards with us to note them down.
This walk was exciting as it was a really foggy day!
